A reading of one of his OTHER poems. There's more to Carroll than Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass everyone! 8)

  • Carroll is a genius. Part mathematician part writer. cool

  • @TheTimeTraveler100 Never heard about the mathematician part.

  • He was also a very clever satirist. In "looking-Glass" he parodied William Gladstone and Benjamin Disraeli as the lion and the unicon respectively. The lion and the unicorn on the Queen's Coat of Arms, that is.

  • In a way, he was a sort of cultural pathologist. I haven't read Looking-glass in a long time, so I don't recall the lion and unicorn scene.

  • I am IN LOVE with Lewis Carroll. I don't care what anyone says. He was so intelligent, gentlemanly and very beautiful in appearance. How attractive can you get? They don't make gentlemen like him, any more, do they?

  • I suppose if you looked around, you could find a gentleman who likes real poetry. They are pretty rare at your age though.

  • Hmmm. I guess I've got to check those out then. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Hehe...that's very good. Carroll's verse is really very good and very funny. My Favourite is The Three Voices with illustrations by A.B.Frost - hilarious! And The Snark..and..and....all of em! Good reading too!

  • Carrol was a wit. 8)
