@CrustyConrad LOL. Connie was a nag in the show. She loved spending Wilbur's money, a material girl for sure. And she had him whipped, when she said jump he did. Remember the one where she wanted a swimming pool? I loved the Mr Ed show, that and Car 54 are my favorite 2. The short run, My living Doll and the old Bob Cummings show was great too. They just make trash today, and sheeple watch it.

@GenXer68 The car was a Triumph Spitfire. Why they didn't pick a Studebaker I don't know. However, in the scene where Ed drives the milk truck, many Studebaker models can be seen: a 1950 bullet-nose, a 1964 Hawk and a 1964 Daytona hardtop among others. My theory is that the Triumph was tricked-up for the scene where Wilbur causes the entire car to go haywire, with the trunk seemingly trying to swallow him.

Connie was beautiful and a total hottie.

There was actually an episode where his neighbor the Col. bought a new Studebaker convertable that his wife ended up totalling because she saw Ed driving a truck around town. The only reason I could tell is that is said in the credits at the end. It actually looked like and old Triumph. Does anyone know what model of Studebaker that was from that episode?

Wilbur would rather feed hay to his horse instead of taking a romp in it with her.

RIP Connie.

That Connie Hines was all woman-man-so was Edna Skinner, not Seymore's Mom by any means-I ve been watching Mr Ed episodes on the "This" digital broadcast network, Im an old dude, I grew up on Ed-but, i swear, they showed Mr Ed right after Equus a few weeks ago, if your not familiar with Equus, you wont know what I'm talking about, I highly reccomend Equus to anyone who's never seen it Im talking about-Ride of fall, it's the law, the law of the straw
My dad bought a new '61 Lark. What a p.o.s. Didn't even have cheap carpeting-just a rubber mat on the floor. No radio. Just bare bones transportation. And yes, Connie Hines was hotter than hell.

All Economy cars were like that then. My Dad's 61 Biscayne didn't have carpets, or a right side armrest or a right side Sun visor or even a cigerette ligher or radio. He paid extra for a heater. That's how economy job cars were then and why the prices were so cheap
