That is precisely what Pastor Kerry does. He laughs at himself afterward and uses it as a point of reference in order to help a lesson become applicable. An "object lesson" is exactly what this is. lol
lol you people just don't get it. There is nothing wrong with a church being funny and entertaining. They don't think that people are suburban yuppies who sit around watching the office or w/e, they spoof alot of shows and commercials. It's just for fun. Chillax.
Ummm...it's a self denigrating spoof, meant purely for entertainment, and probably not even shown in worship, but to the staff. Or, maybe shown in worship as an "object lesson" to start off a biblical sermon on Jesus' principle of "Servant Leadership". I don't watch The Office, but didn't need to to appreciate the intent of the video.
Hahahahaha. The only thing more artifical than this skit must be the laughter of the audience when forced to view this swill. Any pastor would learn this his first day in seminary: Plan your lesson around the Word, not the other way around. Would someone please explain the point of this skit? Because it appears to exist on the assumption that everyone is a shallow surburban yuppy that wants to sit around watching 'The Office.' Of course, if you've better things to do, you're just not hip.
This is why I love Pastor Kerry! He's sooo funny! Love love love his sense of humor!!!!!!! :D
