True worshipper from Indonesia-Ilham

Ilham is a great Worshipper from Indonesia.
Ilham's Testimony:
I was born 24 years ago in Makassar, Sulawesi.
I Wasn't born as a Christian.
My father was a religion leader and
he used to chase and opress Christians. The religion that we used to believe was the majority in that city and
we called Christians names.
We lived the life that was full with hatred towards Christians until Jesus showed Himself to my father.
HE told him,
"I am Jesus, the GOD that you oppress." by that time,my father knew that he had seen GOD. We made a radical turn.
We all converted and started to worship Jesus, the true living GOD.
But it was not easy, People started to mock us, even wanted to burn our house. We ran away to Jakarta,
we left everything behind.
We became very poor.
We used to have a big house,
but then me and my brothers had to live as street musicians. Few years passed, we were still very poor.
We only ate 2-3 times a week.
my father decided to convert back to our first religion in order to save us from hunger. Our life was pretty wealthy then because our family gave us money and a store to run.
But, one day I went past a church, there was a service there,
I heard a song I used to sing.
It was a song about Jesus.
I cried, I wanted to go in but I didn't dare. I felt like I didn't deserve Jesus because I had betrayed HIM.
So all I did was standing there and cried.When I arrived home,
I told my father that we should repent.
Our life was better when we were still poor, because at least we knew that we followed the true GOD.
My father cried and summoned all of us together. Apparently, my mother, brothers and sisters felt the same.
We knew if we didn't repent,
we wouldn't be saved,
Because we can only saved by the blood of Jesus.
We realized that HE was the most precious thing we could ever have.
So we all repented and we became poor again because our family took the store back. Our neighbours treated us badly and called us backslides.
But it was not long.
GOD is our Defender, He turned pople's heart. Our neighbours became nice again to us. I started to sing at clubs and make money.
In 2006 I became the finalist of Idol. It was miraculous, It was Jesus!
I know if it wasn't bacause of HIM,
I wouldn't be saved but now
I live a hopeful life only because of HIM.
I chose Jesus because I am chosen. Amen!

Wow this is an awesome story. I married a muslim from Indo. But we divorced a yr. ago. I am a Christian. I would of loved it if he had seen Jesus like you did. Praise God , an I thank him for you.
