@ptuck808 it's just kindling. Use a hatchet or smaller axe and keep splitting the wood until it gets small like that. youtube.com/watch?v=YAHzmKgQT-

this is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks! Quick question - what's the best way to get wood cut into those perfectly sized pieces you're using here? I'm a novice
-
Put some more paper in it.
-
Have you ever compared other brands such as stovetec?

IMCO!!!!!!

@crab97 Hey thanks for your comment, the burgers really only took 10-15 minutes tops, not long at all. Personally I have not boiled anything with the rocket stove yet, but I am sure you can, just not sure how long it will take, we will make a video on that as well.
By now I'm sure you realize you used 3X's the paper you needed to ignite it.
1st a small bit of paper, add smallest sticks on top of the paper.
Then drop in more small kindling. As much as you feel necessary.
Stab a few sticks in the upper wood feed tube.
Twist a little of that paper in a roll, light it, and slip it into the lower draft opening.
I used to just mow over all the dead fall sticks from trees in my yard.
Don't do that anymore.... LOL
