Demi POV
I woke up and looked to my right. God, Joe had woken up before me, again. I looked at the clock and saw why. It was 10:30. I rushed to the bathroom and washed my face. I brushed my hair and got dressed. It took my about half an hour to do so. It was a big day ahead of me and I was not going to look like crap.
I made the bed and left the bedroom. I walked to the kitchen. As I was getting closer, I realised that was where the loud music that I had heard earlier came from. Alice Cooper's "Poison". I loved that song. I enetered the kitchen and saw my two kids cleaning up the counters.
"Lisa, Mark, what are you doing?"
"Happy birthday, mommy!" they both screamed.
"Wow, thank you." I replied and hugged them both. "Where's daddy?"
"He's in the back yard, feeding Max." Lisa told me.
I left the 10 year old girl and the 8 year old boy continue what they were doing and I started walking to see where Joe was.
I arrived in the back of my yard and saw our big rottweiller running around crazily and Joe setting the huge table.
Max rushed to me and started barking asking for me to stroke him. I did so and that got me Joe's attention.
"Good morning and happy birthday!" he shouted. "Care to help?"
"Sure and thanks." I replied.
I put the plates on the table and spoke.
"Care to tell me what's going on?"
He stopped and came closer to me.
"Well, since it's your birthday, I thought of throwing a little party," he said, then placed a soft kiss on my lips.
"Little?"
"Well, Miley and Nick are coming and they might bring Alessia, Selena, Taylor and Dallas."
"I haven't seen Alessia in so long, I hope they bring her. Oh, and which Taylor?"
"Well, he said he couldn't come, so the female one." he replied, causing them both to laugh.
"I'll go make the barbecue fire, you please finish setting this up," Joe told me, pointing to the table.
"Ok," she responded.
As "Poison" ended, "The Best is Yet To Come" began and I started singing along, smiling.
The kids rushed outside and told me they were done in the kitchen. They both helped me finish laying the table and as we did so, we heard a loud knock on the front gate. I went to open it, followed by Lisa and MArk.
"Hey!" Miley greeted as we hugged.
"You're getting huge!" I said, looking to her belly. She was pregnant; with twins.
"Normally, I'd get mad at someone telling me this but thanks!" she laughed.
I hugged Nick and Alessia, their beautiful 5 year old daughter, then rushed to get Joe.
We were all at the gate when we saw Selena, Dallas and Taylor coming. We greeted them, I got about 20 "happy birthday"s and we went in the back yard.
Miley, Nick, Alessia, Selena, Dallas and Taylor sat at the table and I gave them drinks. The appetizers were already on the table, so they started eating. The kids rushed to pay with Max, which got me and Miley a little worried,since the dog was a rottweiller, but in the end, they were having fun.
Me and Joe put the pork and the chicken on the grill, and sat down at the table, waiting for it to grill.
We ate , then had fun talking about random stuff and watching the guys 'playing' the brooms or the tennis rockets due to the fact we had no guitars. We listened to AC/DC and Bon Jovi all night long, and before we knew it, the kids were fast asleep on the couch.
"I'll see you guys soon!" I said as I led everyone to the door.
They all left and I went to take the kids to bed. I rushed back to the back yard to help Joe with the dishes.
"These parties are exhausting..." I said, running to him.
"Don't say it wasn't worth it," he told me.
"It was..." I responded and kissed him gently. "I love you."
"Love you too."
