Yeah, I tuned my 13.37 install to boot in ~21 seconds on a cheap laptop from 2003...

@haerulrijal You do realize that there are different versions of the Macbook, right? They're usually indicated by the year of release. Saying you have a Macbook doesn't really tell anything about your specs.

Please post you specs to clarify why this takes so long, and 2.5 minutes ^is^ long on modern hardware even virtualized. I'm not at all boasting cuz my system is old - Single core Athlon FX @2.8 GHz w/ 2G Ram and in 48 seconds, including both logins, I can go from boot menu to fully loaded and usable KDE desktop w/ Slack 13. So please, clarify.

@enorbet2 this is slackware 13 64bit version running on virtualbox on a black macbook,
anyway the new 13.1 version has been release :)

what specs do you have it running under in virtualbox? about 256mb ram? i'm curious as i want to do away with my current fidgety fedora installation (i only have myself to blame for messing with config files without backing up).
