"If Israel wants peace they must return the golan heights"????

so what caused Syrias attacks on Israel BEFORE the golan was captured???

Exactly, more Arab hatred for anything non-Muslim, especially Jewish.

Israel's brutal occupation and of Palestine and mistreatment of Palestinians, study the history of Zionism, don't be so ignorant.

If HEZBOLLAH was able to defeat the Israeli military, then surely Syria must be able to gain back the Golan as well? I suggest creating a Hezbollah type organization to attack the Israeli military relentlessy with guerilla tactics, and forcing them to leave the Golan, in the same way as they had to leave south Lebanon due to relentless Hezbollah attacks.

I don't think this would be a good idea. because then the US will invade Syria and say because of the extremists there. i have another idea that Syria will try to take the golan with negotiations without recognizing Israel. if that didn't work then i suggest a full scale war by the syrian army supported by the people.

This syrian guy is a comedian! chrap one too!
He talks here about peace with syria!! Imagine! Peace with Israel while Syrian regime is not at peace with its nation! This stupid guy, calling himself ambassador, is known to be a liar, he is al-sahaf of Iraq!
I say get rid of the regime in Syria if you wanted peace in the area!!

The last few words by the syrian's ambassador is telling - the "vigorous lobbying " ...in washington..
Lets hope Obama's foreign policy team will have the moral will and guts to carry on the land for peace talks where Jimmy Carter and Clinton wanted to but was voted down or silenced .

Why then many of Palestinians in Lebanon, Syria & Jordan are called 'refugees'?

Because they are Syrian,Jordanian and Lebanese. During the 48' war, Nassar expecting total destruction of Israel taunted arab in Israel to leave or be considered "enemy". He promised them confiscated land from jews in return. When he lost these arabs became refugees. Those who refused became Israeli citizens. 20% of Israel is arab. Arabs hold political office and have more rights than arabs anywhere else in the middle east.
