This is so true!! I really wished I had this guidance when I first started out college. =( ...

However, I did manage to finish everything in time and, although no actual pharmacy experience, a lot of experience related to leadership, health, and volunteering for the community. =) I just applied, have my fingers crossed, but won't give up!

@fauxden Don't be so sure of this. The pharmacist role is changing and is going into a more clinical area and more specialized. By 2012 there is going to be a substantial need for more pharmacist as doctors become less available for their patients and the patients getting advice and consultation from their neighborhood pharmacist. Especially if Obamacare is here to stay... If you are thinking about pharmacy school, do it, in 6 years there WILL be a job for you waiting.

Hello, I am a 3rd student at a a foreign pharmacy school. After six years total in ou university, we obtain our "Doctorat d'Etat en Pharmacie", which is pretty much your PharmD. My questions are

1/once a foreign student gets his diploma as a pharmacist, how can he get the equivalence of an American PharmD?

2/ Without an equivalence,I've heard that it's possible to get into research. To which other domains does that apply (marketing perhaps)?

don't go to pharmacy school, the field is really truly saturated, the wage will begin to drop in 2012 due to excess of pharmacists. It will become the next "IT" oversupply.

hey paul, i was just wondering if you got a bachelors degree and if so in what? i was thinking of getting a bachelors in public health science because it does have the classes which most schools require as pre reqs. so my question is if you did get a bachelors, what did you get it in.
