There are so many undiscovered gems in the 555 that are not played often. I'm collecting the Naxos set and so far have eleven CDs (out of about 35 when complete). I've only heard one other version of this sonata, on a double CD by Christian Zacharias. I can imagine Scarlatti hearing some Flamenco guitars in the plaza, and then trying to evoke the same mood in this sonata.
