As an amateur musician who likes to pick up random instruments, I'd say that she is very creative and talented, not specifically as a sitar player (I have heard Ravi Shankar playing live and he is awesome), but as someone who knows how to get a good sound, the sound she wants, out of an instrument.
Half Man Half Biscuit have a song called "Irk The Purists", so if you're a purist, consider yourself irked!
She does some really good songs. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of her stuff.
