In response to a measles epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo's Katanga Province, MSF teams have initiated a vaccination campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Health that aims to vaccinate 1.2 million children in less than a month.

  • I think MSF does great work. I know you do. My problem with these communiqués is that there isn't much info from MSF about the actual political/militaristic situation there. Millions immunized is great, but can't MSF 'gently encourage' the Congolese government to be 'healthier' in other ways? (Like not 'allowing' mass-rapes.) I repeat, I think MSF does great work, but it's bordering on futile if all you're allowed to do is bandaids.

  • Amazing work MSF! One million to vaccinate in one month would be an incredible achievement. Good luck with this vital task.
