The insanity of traffic and crossing streets in Vietnam

Taken in Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon), this short video shows how vehicles don't stops for cross-traffic; rather, cross-traffic just weaves through one another....this includes pedestrians and bicycles. Whenever we wanted to cross the street, we just started walking, trying to keep a steady pace so the scooters could judge where we would be in 1-second, 2-seconds, etc. ,And we kept our fingers crossed that the onslaught of scooters would just weave around us, as others told us they would. That's what we hoped for, and it actually worked.......we are alive!

FYI, the experience was exactly the same in Hanoi.
