Progress...5/31/2011 So far since this video I installed new intake, CDR tube. The power steering system has been installed and test run. New longer shift and throttle cables and interrupter in, Morse controller modified, new wires to dashboard, boost gage in. The mechanical fuel pump and the electric boost pump are in and connected. Getting the throttle linkage made was a headache until I made a bellcrank. The setup I made is quite clever. McvGuyver would be proud of me.
@FastMike5 CDR fixed...pics were taken when everything was temporarily. I ran the engine on the test stand months ago and the block didn't drain completely out. That was rusty water picked up with the temporary cooling water. I just needed to hear it run, kind of like a pep talk for me. I have heat exchangers for the engine, oil, and power steering. Today I am doing wiring and permanent fuel lines. It now has a 6.2 mechanical fuel lift pump on the block for simplicity.
@CVRealMan I was disappointed with the sound on Youtube...until I plugged my headphones in. That engine sounds like it packs big balls. I am pretty sure that the project won't disappoint me.
