Eosinophilic esophagitis is an allergic inflammatory condition of the esophagus. Symptoms are swallowing difficulty, food impaction, and heartburn. The disease was first described in children but occurs in adults as well. The condition is not well understood, but food allergy may play a significant role.

  • @Themobobber I certainly will. Thanks!

  • @brendanrocky My doctor put me on a Flovent Inhaler. Instead of inhaling the puffs, Im supposed to swallow it. It works like a charm! Ask your doctor about that,

  • I am curious as to what this is about so wanted to read about it today because after dealing with the symptoms for a long time I finally went to the Dr about it. I was diagnosed with EE

today. I'll learn of the Dr's plan of treatment when I go back for a follow up in six weeks. By that time he will have the report back on the biopsy that he obtained today.

  • @mandyandsons Dont be scared! Not all cases are as bad Dominics. I have been living with a mild form for 10 years now. While its not completely under control, it is livable. I am going on new medication for it so it might help.

  • my son was just diagnosed I am very scared
