  • Thanks for this I had to come off these they were making me worse I've been bed bound and vomiting on the citalopram! It's horrible.

  • @glampurpleglitter please check with your doctor b4 getting off of this

  • Chips is on 40 mgs a day, yesturday i got perscribed 10 mgs a day.... will i end up a fruitloop? or will it help me....

  • @SevenSkateboards, look at the reasons that you are on it, will it benefit you? I know that I feel the best now than I ever did, I dont even smoke cigerattesany more either. If you Dont need it Dont. But im not a doctor

  • No problem.. I think the drug had many side effects that I couldnt really focus on becuse I was on it. However the side efects were more apparent to those around me, Irritabilty stood out, itimacy issues as well with the GF. Too many side effects outwieghed the benifits of the drug. Get active with a group or school to balance your self

  • I have been away from the Citalapram now for 6 months and doing rather well, I have no side effects and no longer need to go to the doctor I have been realy active in my church and involved. This is what I belive realy helps with depression rather than being alone

  • Hi, reading through the comments I'm glad to see you're feeling better now. I've been on celexa for almost 3 months now and I'm on 30mg for ptsd. I don't think I'll go up to 40 because i've been having side effects on this dosage, but they seem to be tapering off a little. I've been having the breathing issues and faintness. Do you know if it affects your blood pressure? Seems like it. I can't exercise much, my heart beats hard and I feel like I'm gonna die lol. I should contact my psychiatrist!

  • I take 50mg of Quetiapine and 20mg of Citalopram everyday. Not sure how safe it is. I've been on and off anti depressants for the last 9 years. I'm only 24.

  • citalopram didnt work atall for me now on 30mg mirtazapine and once a day at night, and within an hour I'd be asleep. It sedated me and I had no energy whatsoever, just wanted to sleep all the time.

so far i have been taking Mirtazapine for 7 days now, i feel tired all day long, im really nasty and irritable, agressive to friends and family, just generally feeling worse,i just want to be on my own all the time, i have noticed im hungry all the time,

  • I just started 10mg today

  • Thanks for putting this on Bill. You seem like a decent bloke, hang in there mate.

  • Thank you for sharing

  • @SevenSkateboards

i been on 30mg for 3years.. you will not be a fruitloop. brainfunction is 100%.. but you get kind of "lifeless".. better then being depressed..

  • I was on citalopram on a few occasions, for a few months each time. Max dose I was at was 30mg for a while, generally 20mg.I had been very reluctant to take ANY anti-d's.previously. side effects were difficult but I certainly needed SOMETHING when I was at my worst., and I found them helpful. I always worked stratyegies to reduce dose in summer. However I could VERY easily have ended up MUCH more medicated if I hadn't been very assertive about not taking proposed, unnecessary, increases.
