The "Destroy Sharp Park and give it to the Feds" Rally

The WEBLEEDU coalition (Wild Equity Biodiversity Litigation for Ecological Extortion and Deep Untruths) called for a rally on the steps of City Hall at noon 04-29-11.
Let's think this through... We have 400 acres of beautiful, valuable coastal park land that was a gift to the people of San Francisco, belongs to the people of San Francisco, is a 100 year old legacy of the people of San Francisco, is enjoyed by tens of thousands of visitors every year and contributes 54,000 green fees per year to city coffers The golf course takes up 80 of the four hundred acres, was designed by Alister McKenzie (same guy who designed Augusta), and is a historic landmark. It is an inexpensive public course that is enjoyed by a very very diverse clientele of retiree, students, and blue collar working stiffs.
Yet the WEBLEEDU coalition think the right thing to do is destroy the course and give 400 acres of valuable city owned coast land away to the Federal Government..
No shit. They really think that.
What is worse, some of our City Supervisors think that way also, and our local "rip and read" media apparently cannot see through the bullshit.
Really, guys? Really? I mean - WTF.
