  • I would agree with you. Some people show mor of one wing over the other, but people are more fluid than many Enneagrammers would allow. It is common for people to show qualities of Enneagram points (whether wings or not) depending on circumstances.

  • what does it mean when you are type 4 with whatever wing. How do I find out what wing I have

  • Some enneagram teachers advocate the "wing theory", the idea that you are either a Four with a Five wing or a Four with a Three wing. I think this is an oversimplification and not quite accurate; understanding the instincts, or "subtypes" is far more useful and important. (We have a serious of videos on the instincts posted.) Riso and Hudson's "Personality Types" advocates wing theory and is good for another perspective.

  • a guess (very rough only seen 2 vids) - guy on left - a 4, middle - an 8, right a 5 maybe (or7?)

  • Not a bad guess. Actually, left to right: 9, 8, 7.

  • They make fours sound so narcissistic. We have a HUGE awareness of others and situations around us. That is why we are so sensitive to begin with.

  • @andrew18651 I'm a 4w5, INFP... funny how its so similar.

  • i think you are affected by both wings, but more one than the other maybe, it's a continuum after all...

  • @bradthompson86 hi I'm a 4w3 I think technically everyone has both wings present but usually one just stands out

  • I'm a five but I can relate to a lot of what these guys are saying, so i suppose I'm a 5w4 ( INTP)

  • @kellann55 hell yea! Go 5w4s!!!!

  • I watched both 5 and 4. My type is 5w4. I think how the 4 tinges the 5 is that I dont strive to look or act different but I do take great pride in NOT thinking like others. Thinking being the 5's chief occupation, the 4 wing makes me unique in how I think...not in how I dress, talk or act. Iconoclast!!

  • i love the enneagram....how can i find a community of enneagram enthusiasts ?

i live in santa monica CA i am a four and a half
