What was so "Romantic" about her ideals?

Dude, Jane Austen told dead baby jokes. Most people (the general public) have no idea how deeply, but darkly, funny Jane really was. She was a brilliant comedian and genius observer of human nature, who because of her gender and era, could only work with a very, very limited canvas. And yet, she produced works of art. Behind every cynic is an idealist, and the yin-yang of her personality is her abrasive comic style and her breathtakingly romantic ideals.

I feel like I could watch, read and listen to anything Jane Austen related and never need any other form of entertainment. :D
