"Burn" is the first video piece by artist Vincent Valdez. Produced by Federal Art Project with cinematography and editing by Luis Guizar, the work consists of an LA cityscape and portraits of 50 Los Angeles residents from various backgrounds. It was produced for a new solo show by Valdez now on exhibit at Federal Art Project entitled "Burn". The work is available for sale in a limited edition run on Blu Ray DVD. It is enclosed in a handmade box and includes an original portrait of selected participants. FEDERAL ART PROJECT is pleased to present a solo exhibition by artist Vincent Valdez entitled "Burn". Monumental cityscapes, intimate drawings and new video work (a first for Valdez) provide striking images of the city and people in a process of destruction and regeneration. The show will feature new video work by Valdez, a renown painter.

Vincent Valdez was born in 1977 and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He received a full scholarship and his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2000.
He has had one-person exhibitions at the Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum, TX 2004, the Snite Museum of Art at Notre Dame, and the Museo Alameda in San Antonio, Texas. He has also exhibited his work at The Parsons School of Design in Paris, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Museum, The Seattle Museum of Art and the Mexican Museum in Chicago. His work is included in numerous collections, both private and institutional nationwide.

A recipient of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture '05, Valdez currently resides in both Los Angeles, CA and San Antonio, TX.
