a trophy of mario and yoshi appeared in this game, and in brawl snake was there... and kojima doesn't seem to mind the fact that he begged for snake to be in brawl... so I guess that proves that they really are friends... WHOOOO GO SHIGGY AND HIDDY!

Kojima mentioned in the G4 Icons interview that Miyamoto's Super mario bros was the game of his destiny. It was the game which made him quit doing economics in university and making him decide to join Konami. Theres a huge connection between both of them.
