I know multicultural blacks your skin color really get it, when defining yourself. My younger sister is brown and her hair is kind of curly straight, like yours there are alot of Native/Black people here in Oklahoma and some will just identify with just being black to stop ridicule and racism.

Shalimarp, don't worry about the mean people on here. I am mixed race and hear crap all of the time. I have a dual degree-one of them is a B.S . is Biology which was a focus on genetics. Also, my father became an established genealogist in 1987 and I don't doubt that you have recent admixture. Your skin is brown and people are so ignorant they expect you to have a particular hair color.
