In Spanje is de rijkunst sterk toegespitst op Doma Vaquera, de praktische gebruiksruiterij van het veehoeden. Zeker bij het stierenvechten is een krachtig, wendbaar, moedig en goed afgericht paard van levensbelang.
Actually when a horse is trained properly off a serreta you don't even need to touch it. When any tool is mis-used it's cruel! I don't agree however with serreta that don't have leather binding on the nose. I have trained my horses properly to understand pressure and so therefore it is not mis-used. More cruel is using an arabian halter on a spanish horse. Why? They don't have the same jaw confirmation, their jaw is thinner and the chain causes pain when tightened. Education is the key!

Donde se puede apreciar la auténtica belleza de la Doma Vaquera Andaluza, es en el campo trasegando o tentando al ganado bravo. Lo que se ofrece en pista es sólo un extracto de la realidad cotidiana de este antiquísimo, bello y espectacular arte ecuestre.
También en la Feria del Caballo de Jerez se ve un bello despliegue de caballos y jinetes que nadie debería perderse, al igual que los espectáculos de la FREAAE con sede en la misma localidad andaluza.

I was there.....and no, they don't use the serreta at this level.

Hi, nice video. I hope they weren´t usuing "la serreta" to acheive those marvellous moves.
