Movie skills: falling, fighting, tumbling and getting killed in the movies.

Host, Antonio Graceffo, travels to Khmer Suring province of Thailand to study Muay Thai Boran with Adjan Sok Chai, the first teacher of film star Tony Jaa. Adjan sok Chai is an ascetic, a kind of Brahman Holliman, who lives a life of meditation, suffering, training and helping. Khmer Surin province used to be part of Cambodia, and Antonio explores the connection between Khmer Bokator and Muay Thai Boran.

  • @ichibang15549 Agreed. If you look at Vietnamese martial arts like Vo Co Truyen and Thieu Lam, they have a clear Chinese influence and you can trace them back to the migration of Vietnamese down from southern china and northern Vietnam to the whole of Vietnam, or credit them to Chinese influence. Lai Tai in Shanland also clearly looks like Chinese Kung fu. but muay thai bears no resemblance to any Chinese martial art. it didn't come from china.

  • i love this episode i do muay thai and muay boran and i just got into the intermediate level seeing him do all the moves is wayyyy awesome and i cant wait till im on a some what similar level to him lol or atleast look good doing it lol

  • hahahahah wow!

  • Cambodia started SEA martial arts of course, the thais were from southern China, and SEA martial arts were in SEA before the Thais were there.

  • many styles from the Khmers were kept secret from the Thais as i heard... isn't there many debates of who started SEA martials arts in Thailand and Cambodia?

  • cant wait to see it
