Ivan Moravec made Chopin's Nocturnes the most interesting music I know!
-
@nanrvgne Biret, Pires and Rev?....for Chopin's?.....what kind of crappy ears mother nature has provided you?
-
Moravec plays this piece faster (5'38") than the same piece he recorded in 1966 (7'23"). Here he is more straightforward.
-
Moravec's Nocturnes are the records I would take with me to another life.

Ecellent interpretation and performance indeed. But I wouldn't say "by far the grand master", jamesotek. He is great, but there are others great in their own way: Rubinstein, Biret, Pires, Rev, just to name a few.
