Apologies for the long distance view - my camera does have a zoom, maybe I should have used it. Bert is on banjo; John is sat on the floor playing the sitar. They still sound the same.

  • It says something for the acoustics of the hall, and the sound mix, that someone with a cell phone so far back can make a recording that sounds this good. Thanks for the post!

  • I wasn't as far back as it looks from this clip - my camera makes things look further away than they really are. But yes, the sound was very good and it was a great concert.

  • Did they play Sweet Child?

  • Disappointingly they didn't, which is odd considering it is the title track of the album they were commemorating. The tour programme lists it amongst their current repertoire so it should get performed at some of their remaining dates.

  • Did they make an official video for this concert? I would buy it in a heart beat if they did.

  • nobody needs such bad videos. So wonderful music, but so a bad video. Cruel...

  • Unfortunatly the did not play "Sweet child" neither in Oxfort or in London (on their second concert).

  • It was a special gig, we were 4 rows from the stage, just in front of John and Danny.

    Magical.

  • Man, I SO wanted to be there.

  • yeah, shame about the distance, but the sound is good! so thanks anyway. An historic moment, as we all know.

    the word of gord

  • Well tx for the upload:))) I hope that someone will capture it on video if and when they perform it.. I bet you really had a fantastic time.. I hope they at least performed the traveling song.. But it's a great joy to see them on stage again:))) Jaquis voice is still as beautiful as it was back in the 60's..
