Fight between two sanshou fighters. Speculatively, the fighter in red is Woo Seung Soo (of Korea) and the fighter in black is Kang Yong Gang (of China). The video is titled as it is because the identities aren't definite, but this video is nothing to do with China vs Korea as countries, so I would ask people to stop arguing about which country is the best/being racist.

Unrelated, but sanshou looks like a perfect candidate for an Olympic sport :o

  • @LemonNation So your interest in a sport is based soley off of glove size.... interesting.

  • @CtheWolfe Well, they also wear larger gloves and I find that less interesting.

Also, you are not right in saying MMA alone uses 4 oz gloves. Sambo competitors do as well. Lethwei fighters have no gloves at all.

I find both fun to watch.

  • @LemonNation What do boxers wear? How about pro kickboxing? The only sport that uses 4oz gloves is mma. I don't suppose you have actually trained in boxing, muay thai or san shou have you?

  • @CtheWolfe I know who Cung Le is. But even in pro Sanshou fighting they stick to the 8 oz gloves.

  • @LemonNation This is tournament fighting. As with most tournaments protective gear is used. If you fight pro of course the gear is removed. I suggest you check out Cung Le

  • The body pads make the kicks less effective...

  • @LemonNation

Fighters get to the clinch too easily.

my 1st observation --- I asume takedowns score more high. The clincher should be more easily controlled with good punching.

  • @halo123321123 Fighters get to the clinch too easily. I think there are a lot of competitors who have very poor striking ability but can get inside without getting knocked out and score a throw. It also makes them a lot more bold when catching head kicks which I find entirely unrealistic. I have seen a number of guys get tagged in the head with a kick only to catch it and score a throw.

  • @LemonNation

Why? You think there's not enough action or do you just want to see blood?

  • @recigar No,his face obviously doesn't look cantonese....Mr Kang was actually from Shantung
