Blue-eyed soul! Produced by Jerry Wexler and Tom Dowd of Atlantic Records. The song was originally offered to Aretha Franklin, but she turned it down. Dusty recorded this hit at American Studios, Memphis, Tennessee where 100s of hits were recorded including Elvis' number one "Suspicious Minds."

@309temporary Well, you can still give props to Aretha for giving us the definitive version "I Say A Little Prayer" even though Bacharach/David wrote it for Dionne Warwick and Dionne recorded and released it.
