@willismanson1971 Yes i did. I intended to refinish it, but never got around to it. It actually resonates a shitload better now.

Did you sand the finish off the guitar

@samling Haha yeah. At the time it was one of those things i could stop and be like "yes i like this sound", but then afterwards you can spot what is lacking. I've upgraded equipment, and adjusted my recording process quite a bit since i made this. But thanks man!

Really nice man! Compared to your first version of this song this is miles ahead. My only complaint would be your tone is a little empty. I'm not sure if you're using any pedals, but on anything that has an EQ turn up the mids a bit, and probably any distortion you have going on down a bit. This should hopefully make your tone a little bolder; I had a little bit of trouble hearing you sometimes over the song. Other than that, excellent job! Keep at it!
Dude I absolutely love the sound AND finish of your guitar. I am looking to buy myself an Ibanez RG120 within the next few months and I was wondering if you would recommend it for someone who has been playing the guitar for quite some time now. How is the action on it?? Also.... How long did it take you to get the finish of the guitar to the wood grain??

@nathanaelramirez22 The RG120 is a cheap model that they make, i picked it up for about 200 bucks, but overall i did a great amount of work to get it to feel the way i wanted to. Action isn't bad, but could be better. Getting the finish off of the guitar down to bare wood took forever, since ibanez pretty much uses the hardest crap known to man to coat those things.

@XeroJager I see, I'm really looking for a guitar that I can make my project guitar, which is why I'm interested in the RG120, its cheap and with work it can sound prestine. Just like yours does in this cover. I'm also looking for a guitar that has good action, I once played a Jackson Dinky and I swear I have never played a guitar that was so easily playable on the fretboard. Only thing is I'm not a big fan of Jackson's so that's why I'm looking for something close to the action like a Jackson.

@nathanaelramirez22 I gotcha. Yeah the RG120 is a good project guitar, but i should suggest any other ibanez for a project guitar, search for any used RG2EX1. It's a basic fixed bridge type deal, and it already feels silky smooth for the class that it's in.

share your tone? :D

@freakguitar1 I'd share the patch but i don't have it anymore. But if you want to know what the setup was like, it was Noise Supressor - Tube Screamer - Treble Comp - Amp (5150 based) - 4x25 with Celesion 30s - Compressor. Lower the gain on the amp and let the tube screamer color the sound.
