I would like to see HBC TV do a story or have discussion on the history of Hmong Beauty Pageants, where it came from, and how it has now become to somehow represent one of the most important event during the Hmong New Year in America. Did you all know that the beauty pageant as we practice it in our community is a product of American culture and an American invention that was spread throughout the world just in the last hundred years?
