[Request] HR5 Rathalos Hunt part1

Hello !
This was a request from skuller1000.
He asked me to show how to hunt rathalos, the HR5 one.
Since he didn't ask for a particular set and/or weapon, I took a set I like for the look :)
( and only for that ! )
The power of the set is based on elder ( not felyne ) standard : 251 armor.
The weapon is based on early HR lvl ( HR4 or 5 max ).

Armor set : Full Black Belt
Slotted with jewels to have Filled Up, Capacity Up ( useless here ), Sharpening Skl Inc and Sharpness +1, and to negate the effect of map -10 ( no map ).
Everything is lvl 12 and gives 42 defense per piece.

Weapon : Expert Sword ( upgrade from Black belt sword )
Type : Sword and Shield ( I chose SnS since it is a flexible weapon )
Attack : 238raw + 120para
Sharpness : awesome green ( small blue with the sharpness +1 )
Slots : 3 ( gemmed with 2 fatso jewels )

About the fight itself, I can only give general advices and my choices.
First, the items :
I took 5 flash bombs and a trap. It is always a good Idea to have some in your inventory.
I took every type of potions ( potions, mega potions, max potions and ancient potion ), they all have their use. ( i.e. I use the ancient potion if I die to have max health and stamina, it's faster. )
I took some bombs... why ? well... I always carry some when using SnS since it's a weapon type that does not do a lot of damage. The bombs will then greatly help.

The idea against the Rathalos is to never stay in front of him, since his charge can do a lot of damage, but worse, he can do it instantly, so it's very dangerous !
Something else : 1 or 2 hit is generally the maximum you can land before rolling/guarding. Don't try to go further if you're not 100% sure it will be ok. ( in the second part of the video, I was a little greedy and ... well you'll see XD )
Other thing you need to know, his head is VERY weak, and to me it's the safest spot to attack.
( I know I said not to stay in front of him, let me explain myself XD )
In fact, if you attack on his feet, he will most likely do a tail spin ( hard to evade when you're not used to the timing ) or fly backwards sending a powerful fireball where he was standing... and also, even there his charge will hit you.
So hit the head, roll hit roll etc... his head will make him stagger a lot giving you an opening to hit more ;)
Last but not least, try to cut his tail as soon as possible, it will help you a lot. you can easily hit it when he lands, so go ahead.

As general advices, that's all I have to give you. Watch the video ( part 1 is uncut, part 2 is the end only, uncut though --and there is a summary of what I cut --) and try to make your own ideas from it.

@TyoStra all I can say is take your time. I mean, you have 50minutes to kill him, which is more than enough with a hammer. So hit only when you're 100% sure to land a hit, and aim for his head. Once he is KOed, land 2 triple pounds (3xtriangle) on his head and move. Repeat.

Never be greedy ! if you can only land one blow, then land only one. I know it is really frustrating, but you don't have a choice (at least for now).

Damn I've never used a sns I always use LS GS or hammer some rare occasions Huntin horn or bowgun or bow but this fucker has killed me twice

screw it im hating rathalos so dam dam much. i can tigrex with ease..but with rathalos..he's just to FRIGGIN ANNOYING and too fast :'<
