Excuse me Huggies... not all dads are imbeciles!
IMHO this ad depicts daddys as quite incompetent people.

UPDATE: Huggies pulled the ad and have replaced it with a more appropriate one. More about it here: More here: http://technorati.com/lifestyle/famil...

A couple of articles online about this topic too. This is a pretty good summary:

It has touched on a highly sensitive nature-- the Huggies ad opened up old wounds for many “good” dads who are committed to raising their children single-handed--but who are continually haunted by the stereotypical label of being clueless and aloof.

Two sides to a coin right? Normally I wouldn't be so offended. I guess being a new father has changed my perspective on something like this. Normally I think it would be quite innocent and smile. IT seems it did strike a nerve though with a large population and so they pulled the ad.

I, too, am tired of the media who portray average men as bumbling fools just because they are in an area that was traditionally the domain of women. A lot of men are good cooks and a lot of women are good doctors, so much for stereotyping!!!! After all, you can't have kids without men and raising kids should be the responsibility of both men and women.

Not only are dads stupid and inept, but it's okay to leave babies in wet diapers for up to twelve hours?! This is corporate suicide! Dumbest thing I've seen in some time, and that's saying something. And it want pulled, as a previous comment suggests. I looked it up to send to a nanny friend after setting it on TV at 11am on 11/8 - 5 minutes ago.

Having seen so many ads that either lack dads or degrade men to make women/mothers seem superior it's great that these fathers got the ad changed. Sadly there is so many blatant misandrous ads that still run but a win is a win nonetheless.

Also to those who don't see the issue, listen to what the ad said and then compare it to the new ad: /watch?v=5TKiuzPpyZY

The new ad has the same loving image without making dads out to be some buffoon that might endanger the baby.

Even though I wished this advertisement showcased more diversity, I still enjoy it.

Despite my wish, I have seen several men display this level of love for their child/ren; sometimes a higher, or greater one.

To those commenting on just this video, try watching the entire series. Yes, it is offensive. It would be like having a woman under a car and saying how hard it is for them to change the oil because their a woman. I bet that would draw some critics.

KEEP YOUR BITCHES IN CHECK. DADS SHOULD GET 100% CUSTODY OF SONS SINCE SINGLE MOTHERS ARE SUCH TERRIBLE PARENTS, ESPECIALLY FOR SONS.

When it comes to good father around other good fathers...they tend to get really corny...but it's cute though...rather that than them being horrible aholes, right???
