There are a some factual errors on this video. According to William Dear's book, he found evidence and collaborating testimonials that much D&D was played in the tunnels. Dear wrote that Dallas later told him that he was not only an avid D&D player, but thought of the tunnels as an ideal location for LARPing. Dallas did use the tunnels as a hiding place during the first few days of his disappearance. I agree, though, there is no evidence that D&D caused him to runaway or commit suicide.

My interest in D+D is only peipheral; I've never even played it. This was a really interesting and well-made video. You deserve more views.

The hysteria continues today.
I am a high school teacher who just started a D&D club at my school. The admin approved it. There were 31 students who showed up on the first day! I warned everyone that the characters must be good heroes so outsiders would not get hysterical. The next day an angry parent complained that students will commit suicide! Now they have contacted district superintendent! Admin. supports me.
I should be praised for promoting this learning activity.

Thanks for sharing this. I have read Dear's book and appreciated the inclusion of his Egbert's poetry. I find Dallas Egbert's story to be very tragic and I think people identify with him and want to connect a bit. I look forward to part 2!
