American Lit - Part 2 of 2, this film covers the entire spectrum of American literature, from the early Native American writers to the Modern writers in the twentieth century. From the same writer and producer as "Shakespeare: Brief and Naughty," this quick-witted and humurous look at American literature is sure to entertain all audiences.

  • Did we have to go to blue balls? Really? You want to reach students, but of course what you made can't be shown in class. What was the point?

  • @19RWM72 The line between acceptable humor and not safe for the classroom humor is a blurry one, and it's not the same for any teacher. Your job is to decide where you toe the line. For the record, I screen every film for my darling wife, who is a superstar elementary music teacher and also my award winning censor. She usually stops me before I go too far. Still--this joke gets the most complaints and will likely be retired when I update the video in the next several months.

  • Seriously! The best American Lit intro ever! I can't wait to play it for my students, with approval of course.

  • If it helps, the same videos are available on TeacherTube, which sometimes carries a little more favor with administrators. Glad you liked it!

  • I loved it. The only thing that made me flinch a bit was the mention of Stephenie Meyer. *ouch*
