After nearly 10 years of fighting, Soviet troops pulled out of Afghanistan.

Both the neo-conservatives and the Islamists believed that it is they who defeated the "evil empire" and now had the power to transform the world.

But both failed in their revolutions.

In response, the neo-conservatives invented a new fantasy enemy, Bill Clinton, focusing on the scandal surrounding him and Monica Lewinsky.

Meanwhile, the Islamists descend into a desperate cycle of violence and terror to try to persuade the people to follow them.

Out of all this comes the seeds of the strange world of fantasy, deception, violence and fear in which we now live.

Fact that Clinton got impeached for his personal business (i.e. cheating) and Bush didn't get hanged for his crimes against humanity (crimes he is admitting he did now with the release of his book) clearly shows how backwards and corrupt American politics is nowadays. And it's not the people - the people couldn't stop it if they wanted to.

In conclusion, one may learn a lot from this film, but should be very careful not take all it's conclusions fro granted, and to to draw his own conclusions.

The main problem with this "documentary", is that it is mixing facts with opinions.

If is factual that the US was in a conflict with the Soviet union, but the idea that the Soviet union collapsed on it's own, and not due to American action, in only an opinion (notice how it is not backed in the film with any evidence).

It is factual that neo-cons are striving to make this world into a more democratic, more liberal world (and I find this to be a noble cause, be it possible or not)... cont'

I just finished watching Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey and, corny as it sounds, I do think a shift in our development as a species is necessary for us to survive. If we don't that sucks, but whatever - life will go on. It's my hope that people will slowly pull their collective heads out of their asses.
