Analog Synthesizer Tutorial - AM/FM Modulation

Another basic tutorial here... this one is on AM and FM modulation. Both of these are very simple forms of modulation. I have posted equations for both AM and FM, please pause the video and understand these simple equations and how it corresponds to the modulation you are hearing (requires just basic algebra). I will probably do a more advanced modulation vid which will cover the spectrum of AM/FM as well as ring. I will start these after the basic tutorials are finished.

Great tutorials. Thanx a lot for your effort! It would be great if you show the signal path from time to time like 'VCO > VCO Mixer > ...". I know it's not that complicated but it helps. Anyway. Thx! :)

I think that the formula "Ac[1 + Am∙cos(2πfm∙t)]cos(2πfc∙t)" is more didactically expressed as "Ac∙cos(2πfc∙t) + ½Ac∙Am∙cos(2π(fc-fm)t) + ½Ac∙Am∙cos(2π(fc+fm)t)". This way it is clear exactly what AM does, i.e. give side bands. Super clip, by the way!
