Clouds Make It Rain

This video is the culmination of a series of lessons on the science and local issues of water that I helped to teach in Ms. Kauer's 5th grade class at East Palo Alto Charter School. We combined short lectures, FOS kit experiments, and a field trip to the Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve (to explore the role of water in the insect life cycle - photos shown in video). The song, written and performed by a group of students with a little help by me, is basically tackling Grade 5 Earth Science Standard 5ES3. The video was filmed and edited by Chris Sonne.
