I love a good meatloaf but I have to say I'm a little dubious about the addition of sugar.  The thought of sweetness from the brown sugar combing with the meat and other ingredients seems less than appetizing, to me.I understand it's really just a glaze on top and I could be totally wrong, since I haven't tried this recipe yet - I'm definitely planning on giving it a try in the near future, though.

@quextico Honestly when I first tried this recipe years ago, I also was unsure about the sugar factor. But once we tried it, we all loved it. If you like try make a small portion, cut the recipe half to give it a try and not to waist. Thanks for the input! Let me know if u give it a try!

what does meatloaf taste like? I'm not American and have never had it, is it kind of like kabob?

@misstrophywife It is really good, the brown sugar does not over power the taste at all. Gives a very pleasant flavor. Its almost like kabob just baked in the oven in a pan and not on skewers (shish) with some spices not typically used with kabob. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
