Blind Archery Sacramento 11May08

I had the privilege of watching Janice Walth shoot with the Sacramento Archery Club at Discovery Park. Blind, she aligns her feet on a pre-placed wood frame and her bow hand on a tripod mounted touch-point, assumes a practiced posture, draws and confidently lets fly, never missing while I watched.

my god she's blind? thats amazing but what do you mean by tripod mount'?

There's a thing that looks sort of like a camera tripod just to her left. It has a place on it where she touches it with her left hand to line up her shots. Her husband (shooting on her left) helps set the tripod up before shooting starts. It's a bit hard to hear but she explains it in the video.
