  • I love your videos. My question is : can you post videos on the preparation of the food you grow? Do you eat all the vegetable as salads? Do you cook them? You've inspired me with the raised bed and I built a bunch of them and they are doing great. If all of them produce as well as they are growing, I'll have way more than I can use in salads.

  • Hi John always love your videos but something has being bothering for awhile. While you always show the chayote seed you never show the prickly version of the chayote. Here in Vancouver, BC where i live everyone grow the prickly version including myself. I always mange to produce a lot of fruit with it but never with the non-prickly chayote you should check it out!

  • I do sometimes show the prickly variety. There is also a "white" variety. I had an episode at a community garden near the SF airport with the prickly variety. Most stores don't sell the prickly version.. so thats why it hasnt been in the videos :) And if they do, its usually not sprouting.

  • i need your help.. you go to all these wonderful nursery's that i cant find a single one in the los angeles or san bernardino area.. do you know of any ones out here .. like the one you are in this video

ps usually the ones i find do not sell veggies or anything like that just plants and fruit trees

  • In Southern California - Im sure there are some. Im not too familiar since I dont like there. I do know that many farmers markets in SoCal have plant sellers, that sell starts at good prices. Take a trip to the hollywood farmers market on sunday and stock up!

  • Potatoes are inexpensive, but they are one of the most sprayed crops that there are.

  • Hey man, your videos are really great. I really appreciate what you've put online. Where are you located?

  • We love Chayote here in South Louisiana but we call them Mirlitons (Cajun French). Loved to do Pickles with them with Cayenne Peppers! Delicious. Would love to grow some.

  • do you use the moon phases to plant your garden?

  • John, I am afraid I am going to hurt the multiple plant starts when I seperate them from each other. Do you have any past videos showing how to seperate the plant starts from each other properly, without hurting the roots?

  • @swoop1111 last yr i grew my potatoes in garbage bags - they are not really that big an investment of money or space

  • store bought non organic affordable potatoes are treated with so much crap - fungicides pesticides. organic potatoes are much more expensive. also nothing tastes as good as the blue potatoes. so creamy you dont have to use butter. they are so prolific & easy to grow they are worth it.
