Thanks for the info on Jake. What happened to him? Also (a bit off topic) I used to go to Maxies Wine bar up until about 1995 where a trio called Beroda Swing used to play (name made up from the players themselves Bev as lead singer, Rob on violin and Dave on guitar) They gave up for some reason. D

he is in gothenburg now and still playing - look for billyatkinsonjones on myspace - he will be back for a one night only gig in the edinburgh fringe this year. jake went travelling a good few years ago. maybe 10years since i last saw him. don't know beroda swing sorry.

I first saw Billy Jones when he used to play at Hendersons in Edinburgh in the 80's. Fantastic player. Sometimes a long haired guy used to get up and sing with him. Was his name Zak or something?

I thought Jake had short hair. Was it not Tam or Al with the long hair who occasionally got up for the odd song. I also remember Roy Jack jamming "all along the watchtower" with his electric flying V fiddle

true there was alot of long hair back then but Jake grew his hair a bit longer too. Believe it or not I have video of Billy at the burke & hare around 1983 - includes Jake, Tam, Al, Then Coop, Square Peg etc..
