  • Hi Judy! Sorry you have been feeling sick. By now, I hope you're feeling better. I agree with all the communication comments. Facebook keeps me in touch with my nephew and that is good. All in all, I am not a huge fan of Facebook. And, when my step daughter and our granddaughter came for dinner on Friday, neither of them could put their mobile phone down. It was in their laps during dinner and in their hands when not at the table. Weird. And I don't much like it.

yes, drink lots of hot stuff!

  • @popparoc46 It seems the younger ones just can't keep their hands off their phones. My daughter gets texts constantly. I usually just text her and sometimes my son in Colorado. He is a great one for texting, even does it when he drives :(

  • I was here, but yep you said pretty much everything I said.. it's kind of a mucked up sitch. I do agree that it will bring family closer...and also drive you apart.

  • @silverscreamgrl Yeah I agree with you there. In our case some of the baggage with our extended families started before the introweb came on the scene. But with the immediate family it has kept up in touch when work has forced some to move farther away or be on the road constantly.

  • I think FB and YT has brought a lot of families and friends together in keeping in touch. There IS some stuff and info though that shouldn't be put in a public place and private messages should be used. It is great that I can video chat with my son who lives in another state and I can see my grandson, etc. Technology is great if used with caution and some discretion..

Hope you get totally over the 24 hour thing you had soon! :))

  • @mysteryglo If my son would just message his ex on FB instead of putting it out there pubicly that would be better. He did take the posting down before any of his friends could comment, thank god! That would have made things worse than they already are.

  • Oooooh yeah my son works in network security and he says delete doesn't mean delete -- it's always saved even if you think you have deleted info.

  • I hope you are feeling better now. I am always late in watching and commenting. It's tough -- mine was the other way around, my ex didn't want to keep in touch with my son. Thank goodness my hubby loves my son as his own. I love keeping in touch with my siblings in other states so it's nice to have FB for all that!!
