  • All speed runs are a two way AVERAGE SPEED not just one way. Please take another close look at the video.

  • The record is STILL 176.556mph. Don't miss part 2 of this video. Just type in LIQUIDNIRVANA in the search area above.

  • The record is still the same. They were going for 205mph which was well within the motor & boat capabilities but the hull was damaged when it hit a water fowl at high speed. On test runs it had achieved well over 190mph. The record is never likely to be broken with the existing rules.

  • How do these things maintain downforce? Or is it not applicable to them?!

  • They are 2 strokes

  • are these 2 or 4 stroke engines? i imagin their 2?

  • "Controlled by highly skilled professionals" ......as the guy goes flying out of the boat and breaks every bone in his body across the water lol

  • trim it up ffs

  • The wont break this record in a long time, because of rules of safety and enviormental issues. Its just silly.

  • The prop is small but the pitch is extreme. It takes a lot of torque to turn a prop like that. You need the high pitch to achieve high speed. Big prop low pitch will give lots of torque but not much speed. Like ships have. The guys a t Mach knows what they're doing, it's all they do. It is also a cleaver prop which can have the blade tips come out of the water without getting cavitation.

  • @LIQUIDNIRVANA do remember the name Burt Ross he held the record in 1960 he was my grandpa :)

  • @LIQUIDNIRVANA whys that whats the rules??
