What I like is that the smoke detail is more realistic, to the point where you need to spin the rear tires faster to generate more smoke.

Do you need to do anything else than just steer in drifting? Or do you need to use alot of clutch kick and brakes?

Depends on the route. At sufficiently high-speed used the accelerator and turn the steering wheel. At the more complex is already working with the gearbox and handbrake.
