@AgilityFox I have a collie and would never shave her. The coat is weather-resistant and keeps her body temperature under control. It's nice to have an experienced person give feedback, thanks :)

@MsZoraZ I understand it's a lot of work, I have 3 long-haired dogs myself - the problem is after shaving, the undercoat grows longer, and the dog gets even dirtier and more tangled, wich is why it's not a good idea.
Well, anyway, we love Venus !! ;D

@AgilityFox I'm guessing that Zak couldn't keep up with the grooming, Venus's fur probably often becomes dirty and tangled. He has several long-haired dogs, after all - that's a lot of brushing to keep up with!
