Also from this NOV 1961 New York session: Besame Mucho, In a Sentimental Mood, Vierd Blues, & Wild is the Wind. Orig issued on an Epic vinyl LP.
Pike and the players got a lot of Miles Davis’ 1959 So What (w/ Bill Evans at piano). Bill Evan’s gorgeous Why Not solo is @ 3:19.
Dave Pike’s second session as leader - music overlooked too often.
