This video, made by me, a Norwegian, is a tribute to New York City, to the World Trade Center and the men and women who risk their lives to keep ours safe.

It is a historical narrative about New York City starting in the late 19th century. Certain pictures are slightly out of chronological order, to fit with the flow of the movie. 40 Wall Street and Trump Tower are the most obvious ones of these.

The pictures of buildings under construction are the actual buildings shown right afterwards. Not just generic construction sites.

The movie is about hope and perseverance and that New York will always be great, no matter what. Of course, the FDNY, PAPD and NYPD, as well as the fighting men and women overseas, also get honored.

The following events are covered:
- Pre skyscraper age and the early skyscrapers
- Statue of Liberty
- The large skyscrapers
- World Trade Center
- World Trade Center bombing
- Capture, trial and imprisonment of bomber Ramzi Yousef
- New York's great buildings
- 9/11
- Rescue attempts
- War in Afghanistan
- Rebuilding 7 World Trade Center
- Other post 9/11 skyscrapers
- Design and construction of the Freedom Tower
- Remembering the fallen

I(heart)NY
God bless America

  • @ThDubya

whats the name of this song please ?

  • @RikioXxx As stated in the credits, "Launch".

  • @RikioXxx By Trevor Rabin. Armageddon soundtrack.

  • Thumbs up if you want to stop them from building a Fucking mosque on the Ground Zero site!

  • @JoshuaTheViking This story is exaggerated wildly in the media. The lot in question is actually a couple of blocks away from ground zero proper. Even though I don't like the idea, it seems wrong to forbid it. But some rich New Yorker should overbid them and make the property into something else.

  • More upsetting than Mennin Gate

  • They should build a mosque. It's respect for all the muslims who died in 9/11. Why is it ok to build churches in north america where americans mass murdered native americans?

  • @JoshuaTheViking Thumbs up if you agree that they shouldn't build churches in Oklahoma because a Christian commited a terroist act!

  • @JoshuaTheViking Amen brother! We need a leader who stands up for the american people! :)

  • America, and your amazing people and loyalty to other nations, I wholeheartedly salute you. Thumbs up to salute them as well.

  • this video almostly makes me cry

  • You, sir, are an amazing gentleman. That video brought tears to my eyes. It should remind all of us why we are fighting the common enemy that we fight today: radical Muslim terrorists. Ones that threaten our peace, security, and freedom.

Thank you for this awesome video.

  • People wonder why the U.S. is at war. THIS IS WHY! WHY ARE AMERICANS SAYING IT IS WRONG OF THE U.S. TO FIGHT? DO THEY WANT THEIR OWN COUNTRY TO FALL? As a U.S. citizen, I say we fight till we win! NOBODY FUCKS WITH THE U.S. OR ITS ALLIES! War is bad, but if you want peace and freedom you must defend it.
