New oil is filtered and, while it's not required to prefill the new oil filter, it's recommended. Also, yes, he did lubricate the gasket with oil. Check out the 7:22 minute mark.

If you dont know what your talking about please dont post, you might mislead others that dont know the truth. It is always a good idea to prefill the new filter with clean oil before installing it. The engine will receive fresh oil quicker. Your idea about dirt particles can clog parts is stupid, brand new oil is in its cleanest form that it will ever be.

It is new fresh oil, it does not have any dirt particals that can clog anything up.
I suggest you do some research before posting these kinds of things.
Filling the filter up like that is common knowledge.
