Prius Eco-Driving Technique #3
-EV in stop-and-go traffic
1. Some prius drivers use EV mode in the last 1-2km of driving ex) entering a parking lot
I recommand you use EV mode in stop-and-go traffic. We need big energy for starting a car(first move), which weights over one ton.
In traffic a car stop and go repeatedly consuming gasoline fuel.
That's why EV mode can be very efficient in traffic.
2. In general, EV mode goes off over the speed of 42km/h.
When it's cold or your engine doesn't warm up, EV deactivates around the speed of 20km/h.
It's not out of order.
3. If you have time, you should warm up the engine of your prius for better fuel economy. When you have high battery level(over four) of charge, you don't hear any sound starting a prius,
The gasoline engine doesn't go run and the electric motor by itself can move a car silently. However, When you have low battery level(two or three) of charge, or when the temperature of outside is under 10c(50f),
you can hear the engine noise right after pushing start power button of your prius. You need the engine warming up for 40-90 seconds before the noise disappears and the electric motor is ready to work. Don't drive a prius before the engine noise disappear.
It's make a big diffence in fuel econmoy. It's my Prius Eco-driving Technique...all three...
With these, my best fuel economy record is 32.3km/L(trip number is 3.1L/100km) in all city driving. and I have driven 1100km with full tank of 45L in city driving...
Sorry again for no English in clip.
I tried to explain three techniques in English for international prius drivers with my poor english^^..
hope you guys get better fuel economy.

Bro, if your video is in korean, why would you not specify that in the title!
If you did that, you would have but 2 or 3 hits instead of 3k!!
