Is a mealworm a small super worm ? Are they the same thing ? Thank you !

@Teddybearcop48 They are 2 totally different worms. Many people confuse them, even small pet stores seem to think they are the same thing, but they aren't. They both come from a different beetle.

Few quick questions. I can't seem to stop mold, is this harmful? It's been about a month now, the beetles are thriving and I witness them breeding and burrowing but still no sign of worms. How long does it take? Your help would be much appreciated! :)

@tomwaitsfan84 If you have mold it means there is too much moisture. You don't want that. It's most likely from the veggies. After a month you aren't going to see much, trust me. Take a handful of their bedding in your hand and look carefully, sometimes you'll see tiny babies moving around. It takes a lot of patience to see results. Especially if you aren't starting with very many.

@TheWaggaBloke Darkling beetles. But you don't start with the beetle, you start with the mealworm. The meaworm is the larvae stage then it turns to a pupae, then that turns into the beetle. The beetles then mate, they'll lay eggs and then they die off

man you need to do some House keeping.. Putting in a fresh beetle into a box full of dead beetles... Not good.. And also you have beetles running around in your meal worm babies boxes... sort it out man... youd probably treble your output if you was running a tighter ship....
